Can you snorkel at eagle beach in Aruba?
IntroductionSnorkeling is a great way to experience the Aruba coast. Eagle Beach offers both excellent snorkeling and a pleasant backdrop. This post will detail everything you need about what equipment is needed and how best to experience the water at Eagle Beach.

What Equipment Do I Need?To snorkel, all required is comfortable swimwear, a mask, and fins (sometimes called flippers). The mask should fit well with no leaks or fogging inside. Fins should be comfortable and not too tight or loose on your feet. You'll want to move freely underwater without worrying about losing your footing in the sand or rocks.

Eagle BeachEagle beach is excellent for both snorkeling and relaxing in shallow waters. It is one of the most well-known beaches in Aruba, and the sand is soft and beautiful. It offers excellent snorkeling just offshore in several spots along the length of the beach. The best diving conditions are when strong winds come through, pushing food up from deeper water to attract fish to feed.
Where to Find the Best SnorkelingThe best snorkeling will be at the start and along the sand on either side of the rocks. More than half of Eagle Beach is protected by these rocks. There are three rock formations that have a wide stretch of water between them and protect this section of beach from open ocean waters. The largest, known as 'The Wall,' is about 300 m long and between 50-100 m high. Swimming around it will take a day, but there are many good spots for snorkeling off this rock formation.

The best snorkeling spots at Eagle Beach are conveniently located close to the entrance to the lagoon created by the large rock formations. You will see large rocks on your left or right side as you run parallel to the beach. A sign will point towards the closest cave and near-shore view as you get closer.

Here are some of the best places for snorkeling with any level of skill:
The Wall: This is the most popular snorkeling spot because it offers an excellent view. The wall and the larger rocks on either side of it are protected and offer a lagoon ideal for feeding fish. You may see large schools of tropical fish just offshore in this area. This is also a good place to see many different kinds of marine life gathered here at this shallow depth.

Mushroom Rock: Located close to the center, this is another safe place to snorkel as long as conditions are calm and quiet. When the winds pick up, you may see swells from one to three feet high on top of the water. These are normal conditions for Aruba but can be dangerous for inexperienced snorkelers.

Breakwater Rock: The third rock formation is the closest to Arashi Beach and sits about 200 meters from shore at its closest point. This rock is a favorite shallow snorkeling spot with a good corral for feeding fish. You will often see large schools of fish congregating in this area when conditions are right.

Snorkeling at Eagle Beach is a must-see activity for any Aruba vacation. The oceanfront location is beautiful, and there are many good opportunities for snorkeling and feeding fish. However, the best snorkeling locations are those formed by the rock formations that protect the beach from rougher open waters. This section of Eagle Beach is located to the left or right, where you enter the lagoon created by these rocks.
