FAQ'SHow do I book services?
You can use our online booking system. Feel free to call us with specific questions. We also have Bocobay and Whatsapp accounts. This makes it easy to get in contact with us to find out more about our properties and to get help with booking the properties. When do I pay for services? Fifty percent is due at booking as a down payment when the reservation is made. If your arrival date is less than 14 days from your the day you made the reservation you will need to pay in full at this time. We want to make sure you are going to hold up your reservation and are taking the place of others that may want to go during this time. You will need to pay off your balance 14 days before arrival. If the balance is not paid in full we will contact you to make arrangements. You will then have three business days to pay off your balance. We have the right to void any service bookings. You will then be able to enjoy your vacation stress free. What is the minimum stay time? This will vary based on location. If you are looking to stay less than 3 nights give contact us to make sure we can accommodate and accept this. We will try our best to accommodate your stay even if it is shorter than the typical reservation. Why am I putting down a deposit? The despot will reserve your dates and others will not be able to book for the same time. We are asking that you put down 50% of the amount to hold your reservation. This will save the date for you and others will not be able to book the same property during this time. Why do I need to put down a security deposit? This is to protect furniture and the property from damage. As long as you leave the place in the same condition that you found it and do not damage anything we will refund the security deposit once your vacation is over. We want to keep our rentals looking great for many guests to enjoy. Who is allowed to book? Anyone that is over the age of 21 can book a property or rental with Bocobay. How long in advance can I make my reservation? We will allow you to book up to 18 months in advance. We will also take reservations 12 months in advance from sites such as Airbnb, VRBO, and other online travel companies. We will then hold your reservation until your travel time. |

What forms of payment can I use?
You can pay using a Visa, Mastercard, and other widely accepted credit cards. We also accept bank transfers. We want to make the payment process as easy as possible for you.
How many guests are allowed to stay at a property?
The number of guests will vary from property to property. If you are looking to have an additional guest with you, you can email us or call us to have your question answered. We want you to enjoy but we need to make sure that your guests have plenty of room.
How are the rates determined?
The rates are based on the season that you are staying at and the length of the state. The lengths for each of the properties will be featured on the website. Please check back often. All of the rentals are first come first served. If the rates change after the date the reservation was made we are not able to issue a refund or adjust the rate.
What is a transient occupancy tax?
This is a tax in Aruba that is a Tourist Level of 9.5 % and has an environmental levy of $3 each night per reservation. This is applied to rents and fees. It is also for rental for those that are not residents, no matter how long they plan on staying. This tax can change without notice and it is up to the local tax ordinance to make these changes.
Will I sign a rental agreement?
You can view the rental agreement on our webpage. You will have to read the terms and when you make the online reservation you will be asked to provide a digital signature or this document. After you have signed you will receive a version of this document in PDF format in your email. Our company representative will also have their signature on this copy that you will receive.
Is housekeeping included during the stay?
The villas a cleaned by a professional housekeeper before you arrive and once you leave. If you want to have additional cleaning services during your stay you can book it as an extra. This can be found on our optional service page or you can contact us with the request. Additional cleaning services can provide changing bedsheets, new towels, and beach towels. The rate will depend on the service you want and the property that you booked. The services will also vary based on what you are looking for. The villa will be professionally cleaned and all of the linen changed once you check out.
Are there amenities?
Most of the homes and cottages will have sand toys, floats for the pool, and some have a ping pong table. The furniture and amenities will vary from property to property. Please contact us if you have any specific needs. We can also provide some equipment for snorkeling, kayaks, and bodyboards. if you are looking for anything else contact us and we will try out best to accommodate you and what you need to enjoy your vacation.
Are highchairs provided?
We can provide a pack n play high chair. We can also have a baby bath and age appropriate toys if you request them.
Am I allowed to bring my pet?
To bring a pet you need to have written consent from Bocobay before your trip. There will be a pet fee added and you will need to sign a Pet Agreement.
Do the villas have internet service?
Yes, each of the villas will have a high speed wireless connection to the internet.
When can I check in?
Check in time is 4 pm. We will give you a code for the front door. This come will become active at 4 pm when you arrive. If you want to check in at an earlier time please contact us. We can give you an earlier check in time and will not charge for this.
When is checkout time?
The time to check out is 10 am. If you do not check out before this time you will be charged for another night. If you need to check out later than 10 am you should contact us. If we are able to meet this request you will be charged half a day’s rental fee. If you leave later without contacting us in advance there is a fee of $150 per hour for unscheduled and unapproved later departures.
Can I smoke indoors?
Smoking is not allowed inside our properties. Some properties may have a designated smoking area where you are allowed to smoke.
Do you offer airport shuttle services?
We can help you make arrangements for car reservations to and from the airport. We can assist with this once you have confirmed your booking. Please contact us for services and costs.
Should I rent a car?
This will depend on what you are planning to do during your trp and if you plan on exploring. If you want to spend your time laying in the sun by the pool then you may not need to rent a car. Some of our properties are in more remote areas and a car can be useful for getting around or purchasing common supplies. You may also need a car if you are planning on a day trip or other outing.
What activities and restaurants are suggested?
The properties will have a guest directory that will give you some information about the property you are on and some information about the island. Many guests refer to this as the Aruba Bible. We have written useful tips and information in it. This information can be found on our app that you can get in the app store. When you are renting our property you will get an invitation to download the app once you sign the Rental agreement. There are tips, suggestions, and other information in the app. We can be reached by phone, email, live chat online, WhatsApp, Skype, and other means to offer tips and suggestions.
Are the villas in Aruba safe?
Each of the villas has safety features and there is a safe for your belongings. We recommend putting valuable items in the safe.
Can I get groceries delivered?
You can get groceries by using our concierge page. An additional fee will apply.
Can I have a party at the villas?
We have a policy where parties are not allowed. Our villas are in residential areas and most of the other villas have guests, neighbors, and owners staying there. There are young families that do not want to be disturbed by unruly guests.
What happens if I damage the property/
When you sign the rental agreement you agree that you are responsible for any damage to the property. This includes furniture and other household items. This does not include normal wear and tear. All damage will be charged to the credit card that was put on file.
What about the security deposits?
This deposit will be used or an authorized credit card to cover the cost of damages.
What will happen in the case of a maintenance issue?
We make sure our appliances and fittings are working properly. If there is a maintenance issue we will resolve it as soon as possible. This includes pool and garden services. We may serve these areas during your stay but we will not disrupt you.
What happens if I forget something?
If you left something behind and we find it we will make arrangements to have it shipped back to you. We ask that you cover the cost of delivery.
What is the check out process like?
We want you to have a relaxing time. You do not have to clean the villa but you should leave it in the same order it was in when you arrived.

To find out more information about the travel you should visit the Aruba health site at least a week before your trip so you can see the latest health requirements and regulations.
Pretravel
You will need to fill out an Embarkation Debarkatin Card. This card can be found online.
Do I need travel insurance?
There is special COVID-19 travel insurance is recommended. Additional travel insurance is an option and you can decide if you want to pay for it.
Are the local attractions safe?
Yes, the government of Aruba developed the Aruba Health and Happiness Code. All businesses related to the tourist industry need to have this cleaning and hygiene certification to operate. This includes tours, restaurants, bars, stores, vacation homes, and much more. This will allow tourists to know that the business is safe.
Can Children Come?
Around 90 percent of the guest are traveling with children. This makes the majority of our facilities friendly for kids. If this is something about the property that you do not think is suited for children please contact our concierge team. If you are looking for a specific kid friend vacation you can use some of the filters when looking for properties. There are some searches designed for babies and toddlers and there is a search for older kids and teens.
Will the properties come with air conditioning?
All of the villas do have air conditioning.
